After lots of radar study and phone calls begging for earlier departure times, the clouds parted for a beautiful Chattanooga Ducks tour for Calhoun's 6th Grade! We love this educational opportunity full of history for our students! Chatt Ducks captains are the BEST! They don't know it, but they are adopted Calhoun teachers for the day and become #ALLINforMcMinnCountySchools

This morning students in grades 3-8 had the opportunity to participate in the global event "See You at the Pole." Thank you to Calhoun First Baptist Pastor Nathan Melton along with many Calhoun Faculty and Staff members for being present this morning for our students' event. You know it's a good start to the day when you have to back up for a wider picture to capture all the students involved!

Cub Scout Registration Thursday 6:30 CES Cafeteria

Calhoun's MPP held its first family event this afternoon. A Camp Out with MPP featuring reading stations, free books from MCEF's Little Library, math fishing game, rooftop tent reading, outdoor games, crafts, s'mores, and more! A great time was had by all. Thank you to McMinn County School Board Member Dustin Prichard, McMinn County Education Foundation, Calhoun Public Library, Calhoun Junior Beta Club, and Calhoun Faculty and Staff. This is the last week for the 8th grade donut fundraiser. Want to order but don't know an 8th grader? We have you covered! Order forms were sent home yesterday. We have now been upgraded to TWO pick up days, and all orders from this point forward will need to be picked up on FRIDAY, October 3 between 10-6. Thank you for your continued support!

Over 50 Calhoun FCA Members attended the year's first meeting after school Wednesday followed by a trip to MCHS for Fields of Faith Worship Service! What a WONDERFUL EXPERIENCE it was! "Break the huddle. Run the play!" Thank you to FCA Advisor Mrs. Brittany, Coaches Garrett, Flory, & Leslie, & Mrs. Garrison for attending, and Mr. Lester for donating his time to drive these students. Thank you to a long list of individuals for feeding this hungry flock at Calhoun, and Fields of Faith vendors for feeding them again at the event! One speaker said to find community. We certainly love ours! ❤️

Great job today by Calhoun's Cheerleaders and huge thank you to our community business partner, Bowater Credit Union for allowing us to use their facilities. Almost $1000 was raised today at the car wash! Our Calhoun Community always shows up to support our student activities. We are very proud of their hard work! Go Minks! #allinformcminncountyschools
